Year 11 student Isabella has been invited to play clarinet with the National Youth Wind Ensemble of Scotland.
Isabella, who is a member of the TCC Concert and Contemporary Bands and has attended the Queensland State Honours Ensemble Program and the Australian Honours Ensemble Program hosted by Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, was asked to audition for this incredible opportunity with less than a week to get her audition in.
Her audition was successful ! and Isabella together with 13 other young people will head to the UK for two weeks in July to rehearse before the performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow.
Isabella loves being part of an ensemble. “Being with other musicians who love music as much as I do and mentoring the younger members is what makes it so special”, she said.
