There are so many opportunities here for me to share my talents and grow.
- Charlotte, Year 12 Student
Our College has a highly successful Instrumental Music Program which offers all students the opportunity to learn a musical instrument and perform in a variety of ensembles.
Our students perform in Eisteddfods and concerts, including the Catholic Education Gala Concert, Queensland Catholic Schools and Colleges Musical Festival and the Griffith University Conservatorium of Music State Honours Ensemble Program.
Through these experiences, students have the opportunity to learn from distinguished music educators.
The Junior and Senior Oratory competitions held annually are a time-honoured tradition at the College, nurturing self-expression through the art of public speaking. Our students grow in confidence and capability.
The College produces a College Musical every second year providing a scope of opportunities for students to creatively express themselves and to be involved in a significant cultural event. On the alternate year, our College hosts a Cultural Showcase, where our students take centre stage showcasing their talents in music, art, theatre, oratory and much more.
At The Cathedral College we celebrate our students' artistic flair by encouraging them to enter in various regional and state competitions, sharing their gifts and talents with a wider audience. This experience opens the doors for exciting opportunities to further their love for the arts.
