The Cathedral College Instrumental Music Program offers students who receive individual lessons, the opportunity to complete their Australian Music Examination Boards (AMEB) exams on their chosen instrument.

The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) recognises most AMEB qualifications as contributing towards the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). To view the AMEB qualifications that contribute towards the QCE, download the documents below.

We strongly encourage students in Years 10 and 11 to inform the AMEB Qld State Office about their Learning Unique Identifier (LUI) registration date and corresponding number as issued by the school.

To ensure that AMEB qualifications can be counted toward their QCE, Year 12 students must meet the following:

  • Successfully complete their examinations

  • Provide their LUI registration date and number to the AMEB Qld Office

The Cathedral College community acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which it stands, the Darumbal people, and pays respect to the Elders; past, present and emerging; for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and the hopes of Indigenous Australia.
