Year 10 Work Experience

Thank you to all students and parents that have returned completed Work Experience Agreement forms.  Please be advised, Ms Clark has emailed students and reminded them that the cut-off date for June/July placements is Monday 4 June, 2018.    If students requires help for their placement, please contact Ms Debbie Clark via email debbie.clark@tccr.com.au, phone 49991300 or the student can see Ms Clark in the Library.  

 

VET/School Based Traineeships

City Beach - Rockhampton 

Applicants must:

  • currently be in year 11
  • be able to work one school day a week for the duration of the traineeship
  • be committed to completing the training requirements of the traineeship
  • have the confidence to provide outstanding customer service and;
  • be energetic, outgoing and enjoy working as part of a team

Traineeship - Certificate III in Sport and Recreation

Year 11 Students

Site of employment:  South Rockhampton Aquatic Centre

Working requirements:

7.6 hours/week working as:

  • Pool lifeguards
  • Swim school instructors
  • Opportunities to train across other departments such as reception, cafe etc

Training requirements:

Students will complete their Certificate III Sport and Recreation through self- paced learning (workbooks) and be assessed on-site after each block of units.

Leisure Employment Australia is committed to offering fully funded training throughout the traineeship process. This is inclusive of the Pool Lifeguard and Swim Australia qualifications, CPR, First Aid and even Barista training.

The Blue Ranch - Gracemere: We are currently looking for 2x  Casual Juniors around 15yrs of age. Must be available  to work weekends, some school holidays and after school shifts, & can be called in at times. Must be reliable, honest, confident & willing to learn & have a go, able to lift heavy items with every shift, also able to follow direction. You will be required over time to serve on a Pos system, and serving & helping customers Instore immediately, prior knowledge of some stock feeds or pet supplies highly regarded, but not necessary.
