Cultural News

Congratulations to the students who sang and played for the Opening and Blessing of the TCC Centre of Teaching and Learning Excellence and Student Support Building this morning.  The psalm was beautifully sung by Grace Crow. Lily Christensen and Chelsea Stein joined Grace in leading the singing and Kaitlin Sheehan provided delightful saxophone music during the ceremony.

Thank you and congratulations to the students in the TCC Opal Chamber Group for providing dinner music at the recent Diocesan Leadership Gathering Dinner. Catherine Andersen, Charlotte Lehmann, Imea Thomas, Jack Thompson, Isabelle Ward, Evie Ward and Brienna Wilkinson gave generously of their time and talents to provide the entertainment.  Thank you to their teacher Dr Hall for her continued work with the students.

An information letter and permission form has been emailed to parents for the annual Catholic Education Music Camp hosted by TCC. Parents who haven’t received this information are asked to contact Miss Celeste Hack as soon as possible.

The camp welcomes students from catholic schools in the Central Queensland area during the last week of Term 2 for two and a half days of music making.

The google document for the Paradise Lagoons Campdraft car parking fundraiser can be accessed via this link. The Cultural Support Group is grateful for this fundraising opportunity.  Please enter your name and then close the document. It will automatically be saved.

We wish our students in the Rockhampton Musical Union Youth Choir all the best as they travel to Stanthorpe this Easter for the Queensland Eisteddfod. Lily Christensen, Spencer Green, Martin Hannah, Charlotte Lehmann and Luca Mella are members of the Youth Choir.

Thank you everyone for your support during this busy cultural term.

I wish all our readers a safe and holy Easter.
